Jorge was born in Porto, Portugal, and graduated in Electrical Engineering in 2010 from Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto. In 2010 he joined INESC TEC Power System unit, and later in 2013 moved to EDP Distribuição, the Portuguese DSO, as high voltage grid operator. He joined TSCNET Services GmbH in 2019 as Operations Manager. In the same year he took on the role of OPC TF lead, an international team of TSO and RSC business experts responsible to discuss and draft business requirements of OPC Tool improvements, within the ENTSOE OPC Project Group.
